CLIFFORD HODGKINS Obituary

Clifford W. Hodgkins of Schaumburg Clifford W. Hodgkins, 82, was the beloved husband of Mae (nee Swidde), to whom he was married for 57 years; loving father of Suzanne Hodgkins (Stan Kessler) and Cindi (Frank) Dibuglione; cherished grandfather of Ben, Sam, Nathan, David, Stephen, Gabrielle and Isabella; and dear brother of Marge (the late Jeff) Stanton. Cliff was born in Reading, Pa. on Dec. 15, 1928. He attended Pennsylvania Military College (PMC) and was a captain in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was stationed in Okinawa during World War II. He worked as a safety engineer at Flick Reedy Corp. for 29 years and retired from Northrup after 20 years. He was an active member in the Fox Valley Model T Ford Club of Elgin and a Master Mason of the Reading Lodge in Pennsylvania. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 202 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 7020 AC Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Arrangements were made by Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Schaumburg, 847-882-5580.
