BARRINGTON - Dolores Jasinski, age 96, passed away peacefully Saturday August 25, 2018 surrounded by family at Good Shepherd Hospital. Dolores was born July 5, 1922 in Chicago, the daughter of the late August and Bernice (Kurdus) Pokrywka. Beloved wife of the late Conrad Jasinski Sr.; loving mother of Patricia L. Jasinski, the late Conrad Jasinski Jr., and the late Carolynn DeVitto; loving grandmother of Deborah (Kenny) Hunter, Conrad (Wendy) Jasinski III and Vincent DeVitto; loving great-grandmother of Conrad Jasinski IV and Allison Jasinski; fond sister of Edward (Joan) Covers, the late Richard (Betty) Covers and the late August Pokrywka; mother-in-law of Sandra Jasinski and Eugene DeVitto; and sister-in-law of Dorothy Pokrywka. Loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Dolores was employed by Maurice Lenell Cookie Company and also served as the union steward during her working years at the company. She loved gardening and took great pride in all the hostas she had planted in her garden. She enjoyed music, dining out trying different restaurants, travelling and talking to people. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren and her "furry angel" Abigail Rose. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with interment following the service at Transfiguration Cemetery, Wauconda.
