Earl Dahlstrom Obituary

Earl Dahlstrom of Naperville for 10 years A memorial service for Earl Dahlstrom, 80, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville. Born Sept. 6, 1923, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at his Naperville home. Interment will be held privately. Mr. Dahlstrom served his country in World War II. He was a sergeant with the 50th Artillery Battalion, the 5th Infantry Division, and participated in the Normandy Invasion, he was also a POW and was awarded the Purple Heart. In addition, Mr. Dahlstrom was an electrician and 56 year member of IBEW #134. Earl is survived by his son, Thomas (Teri) Dahlstrom of Naperville; daughter, Cathy (Larry) Boyler of Waukesha, Wis.; grandsons, Jon, Jeffrey and Joshua Dahlstrom; granddaughter, Lauren Boyler; and sister, Nancy Dahlstrom of Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Dahlstrom and Ann (nee Nordoff) Imundo. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m., today, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 999 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137; or to the American Lung Association, 1749 S. Naperville Road, Suite 202, Wheaton, IL 60187.
