Edward James Long

Edward James Long formerly of Carol Stream Visitation for Edward James Long, 88, of Yorba Linda, Calif., will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside. Born March 11, 1919, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Yorba Linda Senior Care Center. During World War II, Ed was a secretary in the Navy and stationed in the Naval offices in Chicago. He was a field representative for the Moody Bible Institute for more than 14 years in the state of California, where he lived at the time. During his retirement, he attended the Wheaton Wesleyan Church. He is survived by his children, Nancy (Ronald) Ericksen of Black Mountain, N.C., Judy Long of Yorba Linda, Carolyn Long of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Gail (Terry) Kramer of Glen Ellyn and Bob (Lori) Long of Yorba Linda; grandchildren, Chad and Meagen, Angela, Aaron and Drew, and Amber, Brittany and Cody; and great-granddaughter, Sophia.
