ERIK M. NYMAN

1948 - 2018

Erik M. Nyman, 70, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born June 12, 1948 in New York, NY and has been a Libertyville resident for most of his life. He was a graduate of Northern IL University with a degree in Political Science and also Michigan State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was a member of St. Lawrence Episcopal Church and enjoyed photography, genealogy and auto mechanics. He also liked model railroading and wrote a book about railroads in America. Erik served in the US Air Force in the Office of Special Investigations and was a former patrolman for the Village of Libertyville. Surviving are 2 sisters, Alice (Steven) Eike of Glendale, AZ and Emily (Paul) Kaiser of St. Charles, MO. Also many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Melvin and Jean Nyman. A visitation will begin at 9:30 am Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at St. Lawrence Episcopal Church, 125 W.
