EUGENE BOCIAN Obituary

Eugene S. Bocian of Barrington Visitation for Eugene S. Bocian, 83, formerly of Chicago, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. The funeral will be Tuesday, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, proceeding to Christ the King Church, for a 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Mr. Bocian died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Northwest Community Hospital. He was a resident of Barrington and formerly of Arlington Heights. He worked at Dean Olson Men's Store on Chicago Ave. in Chicago for more than 25 years. Mr. Bocian is survived by his sister, Anita Kondrat Banks of Lombard; and his nieces and nephews, Diane Miller, Darlene Kravcik, Randy Holmgren, Michelle Romano, Paul Kondrat and Alyse Kondrat. He will be missed by his loving family of Alvin and Sophia Delgato and their sons, Nikko and Michael Steven, with whom he resided for many years. He loved to garden, He had helped and cared for many people throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie O'Connor; his sister, Irene (the late Carl) Holmgren; his niece, Janice Holmgren; his nephew, Rory Holmgren; and his best friend, Richard Andreotti.
