George Ringl Obituary

George F. Ringl formerly of Schaumburg Funeral Mass for George F. Ringl, 87, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Marcelline Catholic Church, 822 S. Springingsguth Road, Schaumburg. Born Feb. 4, 1915, in Chicago, he died Saturday, June 8, 2002. Graveside service will be held at noon Monday, at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, 6800 Milwaukee Ave., Niles. Mr. Ringl lived in Chicago until 1967, whereupon he moved to Schaumburg. He lived there until 1991, when he moved to Matthews, N.C. He worked as a pipefitter, and was a retired member of Local 597. He was active in his church and was a Holy Name Society member, church usher and volunteer. Mr. Ringl was a devoted husband, father, caregiver and friend. He was truly a "gentle man" who always had time to help others. His smile, humor and strength will always be remembered. George was the beloved husband for more than 50 years of the late Charlotte Ringl; devoted father of Keith and Myra Ringl; loving brother of Elsie Palicka and Rosemarie Kuhn; and special friend of Carol Seagraves. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass Monday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, #99, Charlotte, NC 28215. Friends may visit www.dailyherald.com/obits to express condolences and sign the guest book.

So sorry to hear of Uncle George's passing. He was a kind and gentle man. I'll always remember how he took care of Aunt Char and how they both loved the jars of peppers from my Dad's garden. Please accept my sincere condolenses.
