GEORGIAN GERTRUDE KLEPITCH

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Georgian Gertrude Klepitch, 95, was born in Chicago, IL, to George and Gertrude (Nissen) Nelson. She passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at The Moorings of Arlington Heights, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Georgian was a homemaker to her four children. As an empty nester, she followed her passion and love for animals and was a docent for 23 years at Lincoln Park Zoo, she was awarded Emeritus Docent in 1999. She loved teaching children about all of the young animals she had the joy and privilege of handling. She moved to Florida in her early retirement years enjoying volunteering at the Pelican rescue. After many years she moved back to Arlington Heights and lived at the Moorings to be closer to her children. Georgian is survived by her sons, Karl (Rita) and John (Linda); her, son-in-law, Sam D'Amato; her grandchildren, Kimberly Deissenberg (partner Michael Pack), Patrick (Julia) and Karrie D'Amato, Kyle (Laura), Shelly, Courtney, and Brett (Joie) Klepitch. She is preceded in death by her husband, William; her children, Linda D'Amato and David (Nancy) Klepitch; and her parents. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm, Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment is private.
