Gregory Thomas Marty of Lakewood A Mass of Christian Burial for Gregory Thomas Marty, 45, of Lakewood, formerly of Springfield, will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Steven Lange. Born July 24, 1957, in Springfield, the son of Dr. John Peter and Elaine (nee Miller) Marty, he passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Springfield. Greg was a senior-level manager in sales and marketing with the Bunn-O-Matic Corporation from 1978 to 1999 and with the Pinnacle Priority Group from 2000 to 2002. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Michelle Marty (nee Kelly), whom he married Oct. 1, 1977, in Springfield; sons, Jonathan, Blaine and D.J. Marty, all of Lakewood, and Ryan Hulett of Springfield; father, Dr. John Peter (Elizabeth) Marty of Madison, Miss.; sisters and brothers, Kathy (John) Albers of Germantown, Tenn., John Peter Marty of Hampton, Va., Elaine (Richard) Ross of Ballwin, Mo., Charles Joseph (Lelani) Marty of Oceanside, Calif., Anne (David) Haire of Hamilton, Ohio, Yvonne Marty of Lenoir, N.C., Paul (Linda) Marty of Springfield, Hallye "Sissy" (Gregory) Kuhlman of Fort Myers, Fla., Timothy (Maye) Marty of Pasadena, Calif., and Madonna (Bruce) Lauer of Springfield; and aunt, Agnes (Eldon) Maxson of Elmhurst. He was preceded in death by his mother. Visitation will be private. Memorials in his name may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were made by the James A.
