Helen M. Heiden of Mount Prospect Services for Helen M. Heiden (nee Cody), 96, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Monday, June 23, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, and proceed to St. Zachary Church, 567 W. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at the funeral home. Born June 11, 1912, in Chicago, she died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Holy Family Health Center in Des Plaines. She was the beloved wife of the late Melvin; loving mother of Merilyn (Donald) Freko of Mount Prospect, William (Linda) Heiden of Oak Lawn, Dianne (Paul) Cottrillo of Rockton, Ill. and Nancy (Jack) Karczewski of Mount Prospect; dear sister of John (Luevelyn) Cody; and cherished grandmother of 18; great-grandmother of 36; and great-great-grandmother of two. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kathy Freko; and six brothers and sisters.
