HERBERT ULM

Herbert Ulm of Vernon Hills Herbert Ulm, 86, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born April 29, 1926, in Germany, and came to live in the United States in 1956. He was a former resident of Arlington Heights, Chicago and Libertyville, living in Vernon Hills since 1991. Mr. Ulm was a member of St. Mary of Vernon Parish and was a retired carpenter. Surviving are his daughter, Rose (Joe) Sanchack of Vernon Hills; grandsons, Jeramie Sanchack (fiancee, Tara Dewane) of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Justin Sanchack of Vernon Hills; and his brother, Erwin Ulm of Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Walburga Ulm on Dec. 30, 2004; his sister, Hilda Wagner; and brother, Karl Frank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, at St. Mary of Vernon Church, 236 W. Highway 45, Indian Creek. interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville, and for one-half hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
