HILDEGARD M. BASGALL

1920 - 2015

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Hildegard M. Basgall was born May 5, 1920 in Chicago to Peter and Marie (nee Sanders) Junius. She died July 11, 2015 in Lake Zurich. Hildegard was a homemaker and worked for Bankers Life and Trust in Chicago. She was an enthusiastic member of St. Edna's Catholic Church in Arlington Heights where she was a Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, also a "Holy Duster" and was involved with the "Young at Heart Group". Hildegard's Faith was very dear and important to her in her daily and family life. Hildegard loved to garden and travel. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was loved by all. Hildegard is survived by her children James R. (Louise) Basgall, Daniel L. (Margaret) and William R.Basgall; her grandchildren Joseph (Amanda) Basgall, Natalie Basgall and Richard Basgall; and her great-grandchild Logan; her siblings, Peter (Patricia) Junius and Mary Schmidt; and by many nieces and nephews. Hildegard is preceded in death by her husband Theodore J. Basgall; her parents; and by her siblings Patricia Junius, Joseph (Gloria) Junius, Larry Junius, Fr. Richard Junius, OMI, and Donald (Lorraine) Junius; and brother-in-law Jim Schmidt. Visitation Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. In State 9:00 am Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N.
