JACK L. LARSON

Jack L. Larson of St. Charles Jack L. Larson, 85, of St. Charles passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at the Michealsen Health Center in Batavia. He was born the son of Lawrence G. and Edith A. (nee Anderson) Larson in Joliet, Ill. Jack was united in marriage to Helen Jean Coldwater on Feb. 14, 1953, in Elwood, Ill. Jack proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the Army. He had a strong work ethic and retired as the president of Westway Construction Company. Jack enjoyed the Boy Scouts with his son, Robert. He loved his children and grandchildren, always involved in their lives, activities and accomplishments. Many good memories of family outings of camping, fishing, skiing, and boating. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean; his children, Kathy (Ted) Saltzman of Woodbury, Minn., Robert Larson of Chicago, Ill. and Jill O'Malley of Bloomington, Minn.; four grandchildren, Elliot (Jennae) Saltzman, Hilary Saltzman, Meghan (Stephen) Kalliavas and Brendan O'Malley; a brother, Roy (Janice) Larson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Jane (Thor) Ronning. Private services will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill.
