Alberta M. Shaffer (nee Henry),
on June 25, 2017, of Erial, formerly of Camden. Age 89. Beloved wife of the late Frank Shaffer. Devoted mother of Diane Pratt, Rose Sanders, Kathleen Dengel (Michael), and Denise Brown (Edward). Loving grandmom of Kim, Michelle, Doug, Brian, and Kevin. Great grandmom of 15. Great great grandmom of 8. Devoted sister of Doris Henry. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing from 9 to 10:30am Thursday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral service 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment Erial Cemetery, Erial. Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alberta’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3 Eves Dr., Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053 (www.alz.org).

Alberta who i called nanny was am amazing sweet woman i loved her so much over the years i loved going to her house over the summer even tho i lived so far i was so happy stepping foot into her house and feeling her warm embrace it was so comforting and i love her so much i am quite late to making this but seeing her at the funeral made me realize how much i love her shes in a better place and i pray that shes happy with her husband i remember all the summer parties and fun times in her backyard feeding the dog little ice cream pops i miss her and aunt kathy(Kathleen) along with mom mom(diane) and aunt rose(Rose) and rose's husband my uncle C i cried everytime driving away to go back home and just wish i spent more time up in New jersey with all of them

I don't know what to say to you guys? But Alberta was a real go getter ! She loved to do everything , and nothing and no one could stop her! She gave everyone a run for the money , she was also a great sweet lady!! I'm telling You I even loved her from over the years! She set a good example to all in her family, and I know all of you loved her big time but just remember she's in a lot of you that's how she set the bar high and she's so proud of all of you! Look for signs then u will know she's still around! I love all of you keep your heads up, be proud !!

Sorrow goes out to Berts Family; She was a great sister to my late wife Patricia,and a great sister -in-law. She will be missed greatly by her family,and all those that knew her.
