MOUNT PROSPECT - Jerome N. Clauser, age 91, a longtime resident of Mount Prospect. Beloved husband of Nancy Buck Clauser. Dear father of Jill Galyon and Greg (Tanya) Clauser. Cherished grandfather of Brock Galyon, Kalla (Jordan) Boekhoff, Cassie and Corinne Clauser. Fond brother of Janice Bosecke and Charlene Young. Loving uncle of many. Jerry was born in Fort Wayne, IN and lived in 6 states before settling on the northside of Chicago. He attended Schurz High School and earned his degree in Accounting at University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana, where he met Nancy. Jerry's work career included the Pure Oil Company, which became Union 76; A.C. Nielsen Company; and Dun & Bradstreet, from where he retired. He served in the Army. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He enjoyed traveling and always helping others. Jerry was a longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mount Prospect, where he was instrumental in starting the PADS program there and in the Northwest Suburbs. Faith and Family were the most important things to him. Visitation Friday, December 3, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Masonic Service under the auspices of Palatine Lodge #314 A.F. & A.M. at 7:00 p.m. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect, IL 60056. Visitation Saturday, December 4,10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille St., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. Inurnment private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed on St. Mark's Facebook page starting at 10:45am at https://www.facebook.com/StMarkLutheranIL/ and then will posted later to St. Mark's YouTube channel, https://tinyurl.com/stmarkmpyoutube.
