It was a privilege to work with John in the 1970's at GBS. I learned much from him about how to teach and how to live. I value still his comitment to students, family, and friends. Thanks John for your great example.David Smith, Bloomingdale,Il

With deepest sympathy to the Dietzler family on your loss. John was a great teacher and friend. His letters will be sadly missed. John personified all that a great teacher is. His students were so fortunate to have known him, as were we, his colleagues. Rest well, John.

Sorry for your personal loss. John was my mentor and great friend in teaching the Chicago class at Glenbrook. I've kept his letters and his memories will be with me forever. I will pray for him.
