John R. Eckhorn of Hanover Park The funeral for Mr. John R. Eckhorn, an Army veteran, will begin at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett, proceeding to St. John the Evangelist Church for a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. John was the beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Tyznik); loving father of Bob (Donna), Lisa (Steve) Bourne, Dorene (Frank) DeLegge, Mike (Barb) and Jenny (Tim) Davidson; cherished grandfather of Rachel, Bobby, Kyle, Chris, Sarah, Amy, Ashley, Anthony, John, Oz, Bennett, Tom and Katy; and dear brother of Wallace, Elizabeth, Clardy, and the late Jack.
