John J. Jindra Sr. of Hoffman Estates Memorial gathering for John J. Jindra Sr., 77, will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon Parkway, Hoffman Estates, where Mass will follow at 3 p.m. Continuation of visitation and celebration of life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., at Poplar Creek Country Club, 1400 Poplar Creek Drive, Hoffman Estates. John was the president/owner of Quality Tire Service in Spring Grove. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Almaack. A devoted family man, he loved spending his free time with his children and grandchildren. He was the beloved husband for 55 years of Marian (nee Dorr); loving father of Mary Jo (Ken) GaNung, John Jr. (Patricia), Ann (Dan) Saunders and Joann (Bob) Bobula; cherished grandfather of Amanda, Cory and Joni; stepgrandfather of Nicole, Nicole and the late Christine; and dear brother of Veronica, the late Angeline and Emily.
