Dear Karl and Family:
I only met your dad once, but he left a very good impression on me. I will remember him as a clever and funny person with lots of neat war stories to tell. He was a real charmer who was fun to talk to.
I am so sorry for the sorrow and pain you all must feel. Know that I am thinking of you.

Please accept the sorrow and the prayers of both of us for this loss. Susan and I especially extend our prayers to Mel and Jerry. Rejoice in the fact that because of God's love, he is in a better place.
