I was a fraternity brother of John´s at Iona College. In recent years I´ve only communicated with John online. Vet every message I received from him brought tears of laughter to my eyes. We all know John was hysterically funny John was but there was so much more to him than that. John was a sweet and sensitive soul. I remember having many touching conversations with him. In addition, John was quite a well read intellectual. I loved talking politics and philosophy deep into the night with him. I know John is at peace now. He fought his illness with courage and sheer bravery. Anyone who knew John knows he never ever backed down from anyone or anything. I feel as though the world is a little less bright without him in it. I truly loved my brother and will miss him dearly. Sleep well and Rest In Peace my brother. Till we meet again.
