JOSE P. SANTOS

1940 - 2018

Jose P. "J.P." Santos was born on January 3, 1940 in the Philippines. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL at the age of 78. He was a longtime resident of Vernon Hills, and worked as a chemical engineer at Abbott Laboratories for 30 years before retiring. He was a generous and loving man who enjoyed grocery shopping and cooking, reading, watching movies, going out to eat, vacationing in Lake Delton, WI, and spending time with his family and relatives, especially during the holidays. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia (nee Tolentino), and their daughters, Christina and Natasha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymundo and Rosalina, and his siblings Rogelio, Raymundo, Rebecca, and Manoling. Visitation and a Catholic funeral Mass for Jose will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Santa Maria del Popolo Church, 116 N. Lake St., Mundelein, IL.
