JOSEF MOLL Obituary

Josef Peter Moll of Round Lake Beach Josef Peter Moll, 88, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Josef was born in Romania on May 20, 1923, to Wilhelm and Maria (nee Lauer) Moll. While living in Romania, he worked for BMW as an assembler and crank shaft grinder. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1953 through the Port of New York, and later met his wife. Prior to retirement, he was an electrician for Illinois Gear for over 40 years. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed fishing many of the Illinois and Wisconsin lakes and rivers. Other interests included target shooting, and planting a vegetable garden every season with his wife. He is survived by his son, Dieter (Rosie) Moll of Round Lake Beach; two brothers-in-law Peter (Maria) Mihalec and Alex (Patricia) Mihalec; four nephews, Arthur and Wilhelm Moll, Joseph Mihalec and John (Betty) Matz; four nieces, Jodi Michael, Laura Matz, Erica Matz, Paula Koettinger-Nicola. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne on May 6, 2007; two brothers, Wilhelm and Peter; a sister, Paula Koettinger; and a brother-in-law, John (Helen) Mihalec. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court (at Cedar Lake Road), Round Lake IL 60073. The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, 8430 W.
