Joseph L. Vinci, age 89, of Elmhurst, formerly of Lombard. Loving husband of the late Barbara, nee Randall. Joe and Barbara were the VERY FIRST residents to move into Park Place of Elmhurst Senior Residence. Brother of the late Leo. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He attended Lowell School in Chicago and York High School in Elmhurst.

Joe worked at various levels in a variety of industries, including: shipping clerk, music teacher, school bus driver, limousine driver, accounting clerk, and purchasing agent. Served in the US Army Signal Corps in Germany. Former member of the Bellwood Planning Commission. Organist at St. John Chrysostom Church in Bellwood from 1970-1984. Part time organist at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines from 1974-1986. Former organist and leader of song at Sacred Heart Church and Christ the King Church in Lombard. Knights of Columbus Past Grand Knight and Past President Fourth Degree Knight of Assumption Council #3671, Past Area Representative in LaSalle General Assembly.

Wrote the words and music for his "Thoughts." Author of his book of "Thoughts," a series of one page essays on a variety of somewhat autobiographical subjects.

Resting at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd. (3 Blks S. of Roosevelt), Lombard, IL 60148. Saturday, November 1, 2025, Visitation 2-3 PM, with Prayers at 3 PM. Entombment private at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
