Joyce A. Gunzel Funeral services for Joyce A. Gunzel, 66, of Harrisburg, Ill., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Reed Funeral Chapel, 503 E. Sloan St., Harrisburg, with the Rev. Paul Widicus officiating. Born June 5, 1937, in Shawneetown, Ill., the daughter of Tommy J. Tucker and Arlene (nee Denton) Tucker, she died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at her residence. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery, in Shawneetown. Mrs. Gunzel was a secretary for the Schaumburg School District #54, for many years. She was a member of the Harrisburg First United Methodist Church. She was the beloved wife of Alfred Gunzel of Harrisburg, whom she married April 4, 1959; loving mother of David (Yolanda) Gunzel of Marion, Ill.,; grandmother of Ryan, Lauren and Jonathan Gunzel, all of Harrisburg; and step-grandmother of Alecia and Ashley Steinberg of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.
