Joyce Marsiglia Obituary
Joyce M. Marsiglia passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at age 97, on September 22, 2025. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Becker; and beloved husband, Joseph Marsiglia of 58 years of marriage.
Joyce graduated from Maine Township High School in 1946. She continued her education and joined the Alph Eta sorority. Her sorority sisters have stayed together for over 75 years.
Joyce is survived by her children, Anthony Marsiglia (Joanne), Nancy Stewart (Bill), Susan Miller-Foreman (Pete) and David Marsiglia (Ela); and grandchildren, Janelle Everill (Ben), Scott Stewart, Jason Stewart (Annie), Lauren Salsinger (Woody), Robert J Miller, Abigail and Dominick Marsiglia and Ashliegh Schuster (Kevin), Taylor Pelton (Tyler) and CJ Foreman. Great-grandchildren, Ashton and Hudson Everill, Parker and Weston Salsinger and Joseph Schuster and Addie Pelton. Fond sister of John Becker (Carolyn); and niece, Kristen Becker; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Joyce and her husband ran a food brokerage business, and she later opened her own travel agency. During their lifetime together, Joyce and Joe had a sense of adventure, with over 25 cruises and many trips to Europe and beyond, these trips were highlights of her life, second only to her family. Joyce was involved in many civic and charitable organizations and clubs including the VFW Auxiliary, PTA, Campfire Girls and the Algonquin Garden Club.
Visitation Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W Central Rd. at Northwest Highway, Mt. Prospect.
Funeral Service Saturday, 9:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 S. School St., Mt. Prospect. Interment Saturday, 2:30 PM at Irving Park Cemetery.
