Karolyn Arndt of Des Plaines Karolyn Arndt, 82, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012. She was the loving wife of the late Leo for over 60 years; dear daughter of the late Leopold and Mary Menzl; loving mother of Nancy (Keith) Brunelli, Bonnie (John) Kwasny, and Michael (Lynn) Arndt; cherished grandmother of Emily, Brian, Kyle, Daniel, and Kevin; fond sister of the late Roland (Lillian) Menzl; and lovingly cared for later in her life by Honey, Maria, Amy and Margie. Karolyn loved the arts and reading, was a founding member of St. Emily Catholic Church, and was a teacher for over 20 years at St. Emily. Visitation for Karolyn will be held on Wednesday, May 9, from 3 to 8 p.m. with a service at 3 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines. Prayers will be said at funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Road, Mount Prospect.
