Kayla Ploughman Obituary

Kayla Ploughman WAXHAW - Kayla Marie Ploughman, 19, of Waxhaw, passed away on June 16, 2014. Kayla graduated from Marvin Ridge High School in the Spring of 2013. She was active in the marching band and the choir at the high school. She was an accomplished pianist, writer and continued her education in the fall of 2013 at Central Piedmont Community College where she began to major in Music. She attended Queens University this summer in the music therapy program. She was a lover of music and the arts. Survivors include her mother, Laurita Denise Ploughman; father, Douglas D. Ploughman; brothers, Christian and Nicolas Ploughman; maternal grandmother, Doris Huff; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will gather to receive friends beginning at noon on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel. A celebration of life service will begin at Two O'clock in the Chapel and burial will immediately follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. Ploughman Family - I rarely go into my Facebook account, but in doing so I just learned of your precious daughter's passing. I am so deeply saddened to hear of your loss and extend to you our heart felt sympathy. I never got a chance to meet Kayla, but I can see she was a beautiful, smart and talented daughter.
