KEVIN JENSEN Obituary

NAPERVILLE - Kevin Richard Jensen, age 21, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away April 24, 2015. He was born April 16, 1994 in Edina, MN. Kevin is survived by his parents, Margaret "Peggy" Jensen and Bruce Jensen; his siblings, Cara Jensen, Kyle Jensen and Cody Jensen; his grandparents, Ralph and Delores Jensen, Richard and Mary Ellen Wholey; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. As a young boy Kevin loved to run around the house in nothing on but his Batman capes sometimes with his cowboy boots on, he was obsessed with anything superhero. Kevin had a passion for building Lego creations, and began a lifelong joy of reading at an early age. During his school years Kevin enjoyed participating in the Breckenridge Breakers Swim Club, his St. Raphael Football team the Giants, and the Neuqua Valley Lacrosse Team. He developed a passion for cooking and had dreamed of becoming a chef one day. Kevin particularly loved trying new recipes and different Sushi places. He loved participating in the annual fishing trips to Canada with the men in his family who enjoyed it as a tradition. Kevin loved to fish. He liked the quiet time on the lake and the thrill of catching a walleye. Kevin knew his way around a video game or two and a recent goal was to create and sell his own game. Kevin was a sensitive soul and deep feeler. He was patient and kind to everyone he came in contact with. He was easy going and easy to please. Kevin was soft spoken but had loud things to say when people listened. He was a movie critic. He always had an awesome joke under his breath if you could hear it. He was rational and logical. He was looking forward to getting back into drawing and piano lessons. Kevin was the best brother or son anyone could ever ask for. He will be greatly missed. Kevin graduated from Neuqua Valley High School in 2012 and most recently lived in DeKalb with his brother Kyle and worked as a CNC Operator at Dekalb Forge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Kevin Jensen Memorial Scholarship Fund for a Programming scholarship at Kishwaukee College in Dekalb. Checks can be made out to Kishwaukee College Foundation with Kevin Jensen Memorial in the memo. Checks can be mailed to Kishwaukee College, 21193 Malta Road, Malta, IL 60150. Please put foundation in the Attention Line. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Everyone is invited to gather together at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville on Friday, May 1, for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Dear Jensen family, please know that although we didn't know Kevin, our family has your family in our prayers. We too lost our 21 y.o. son this past February. Our hearts break for you knowing the hurt and loss you're now feeling. We pray that your steadfast faith, family and friends help you as it's helped us and continue to guide us in the most difficult thing we will both ever have to endure. We know there really are no words but again please know that you are in our prayers and share in your grief and sorrow so that you are not alone.
