LaVerne Anderson Obituary

LaVerne E. Anderson Services for LaVerne E. Anderson (nee Gutzman), 80, a lifelong resident of the far Northwest side of Chicago, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 6099 N. Northcott, Chicago, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Born Feb. 28, 1924, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. LaVerne was a lifelong active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Norwood Park. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, and an Avon representative for 28 years. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Walter W. Anderson; loving mother of Susan (Gene) Krinn and Karen (Nick) Manzella; proud grandmother of Jeremy Krinn, Melissa (Darren) McKinney, Ellen (Jim) Polacek and Nicholas (Sarah) Manzella; devoted great-grandmother of Zachary and Caleb Polacek; cherished sister of Shirley (the late Cecil) Harman, William (Mildred) Gutzman and Thomas (Nancy) Gutzman; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church of Norwood Park, 6099 N.
