Lillian M. Daniel, age 92, passed away July 13, 2021, at Meadowbrook Manor in Naperville, Illinois. She was born November 19, 1928, in Campus, Illinois, the third child of Milton and Mary Lower. She graduated from Ionia High School in Ionia, Michigan, in 1946, finished normal school, and taught in a one-room school in rural Michigan for two years. Lily was a woman of great courage and strength. She survived pain and loss from an early age and relied upon her abiding faith in God throughout her long life. She was a survivor who, in the last year of her life, was infected with COVID-19. She recovered and lived for another year, until both of her daughters and her only granddaughter were able to come and visit her in person; we have an idea she was waiting for us. Lily will be dearly missed by her daughters: Deborah (Linda Novinger) Daniel of Madison, Wisconsin, and Susan Joy (Robert Antrim) Durovey-Antrim of Hartford City, Indiana; her grandchildren: Nicole Heiman (Joel), Joel Daniel (Kristyn), Eric Daniel (Laura), Lance Durovey (Rebecca), and Jesse Durovey (Tamara); her greatgrandchildren: Isaiah, Jasper, and Sawyer Daniel; Rachel and Lydia Durovey; and Ethan, Caleb, and Owen Durovey. She will also be missed by David and Phyllis Reinbold, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings; a daughter, Mary Dawn; a son, David Michael; and her former husband and the father of her children, Jack W. Daniel. Many thanks to the staff of Meadowbrook Manor of Naperville for their kindness and caring for Lily during the last four years of her life and in the face of a worldwide pandemic. We are grateful to the staff of Apex Hospice who were heroic in providing care and support, especially during Lily's illness with COVID-19. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187. The burial will take place at Round Grove Township Cemetery in Dwight, Illinois on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Memorial gifts may be directed to Outreach Community Ministries, 373 S. Just wanted you all to know how much I admired and appreciated Lilly's sweetness and kindness toward our children at College Church. She loved those kids well with a servant heart! A very special lady and we will miss her!

I have fond memories of Lillian serving in our Wed am Kids Korner program at College Church for many years. She was a sweet, calming, and godly influence in the preschool classes. She was a delight to work with. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Lilly was my great aunt and she was such a special person. She always enjoyed visiting us at our 5th generation farm around Campus Illinois. I remember her coming to the Cabery Church Bazaar and helping the church for many years. My favorite memory of aunt Lilly was when my wife Sue and I sold her my daughter Melissa's used Oldsmobile Cutlass car. She was so excited and got many good years use of that automobile. God bless you aunt Lilly and welcome back to the Campus area. My Family will visit you often at the Round Grove Cemetery.

Lillian was such a gift to our familywhen we were all young and younger!! She was our much-loved child-care giver when the three Johnson boys were little guys. “Mrs. Daniel” provided loving assistance to us from about 1975-1985. We got to know her children and, later, her grandchildren whom she loved so much. I thank God for causing our paths to cross in love and friendship for many years.
