Lorna Fraas Obituary

Lorna L. Sinclair Fraas of West Dundee A memorial funeral service for Lorna L. Sinclair Fraas, 79, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 401 W. Main St., West Dundee. The Rev. Steve Woita, pastor and Mr. Frank Hewitt, director of Parish Ministries will co-officiate. The family will be receiving guests from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Private family burial was in Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee. Born Feb. 17, 1929, in East Dundee, the daughter of the late William and Minnie (nee Holtz) Buhrow, she died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at her home. Lorna was a lifelong resident of the Dundee area and a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of West Dundee. She was a member of the church's Altar Guild and was responsible for the church's weekly flowers. Lorna was also active in Bible Study. Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Donald L. Fraas, whom she married on June 29, 1994; her children, Mary C. Sinclair of South Beloit, Wis., Timothy (Cecelia) Sinclair of Brandon, Fla. and William T. Sinclair of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; her stepchildren, Timothy (Kathy) Fraas of Elgin and Susan (Joe) Patrick of Bark River, Mich.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary (LaVerne) Meier of East Dundee and Lola Schuring of Elgin; and many nieces, nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband, R. Thomas Sinclair on June 6, 1991. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to either Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the charity of one's choice. The Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee, 847-426-3436, is assisting the family with all arrangements.
