Marilyn Michalczyk Obituary
Marilyn Ruth Michalczyk (nee Vermell), age 92, of South Elgin and formerly of West Chicago, passed away on August 2, 2024. She was born on January 10, 1932, in New York, New York, to Robert and Marie Vermell. Marilyn was a wonderful homemaker and mother. She was an active parishioner at St. Mary's Church in West Chicago. What she loved most was spending time with her family.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Michael (Susan) Michalczyk, John (Kristin) Michalczyk, Debra (Andrew) Kobler, Jeralyn (Mark) Gliszczynski, Marilyn (Robert) Rolseth and Peter (Amy) Michalczyk; grandchildren, Stephanie (Casey) Eischen, Andrew (Molly) Kobler, Samantha (Larry) Kimmel, Nicole (Anthony) Cincinello, Michael McCormick, Christopher McCormick, Alaina Michalczyk, Gillian (Tim) Brigman, Addison Michalczyk, Rylee Michalczyk, Rebecca Rolseth, Alex Rolseth, Melissa Rolseth; 4 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; son, Robert; father, Robert Vermell; mother, Marie Vermell; and 2 sisters, Anna May and Roberta.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago. Chapel service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in West Chicago.
