Marlene Grupp Obituary
Marlene Grupp, age 81 of Gilberts, passed away on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born on July 19th, 1942 in Chicago, the daughter of Eugene & Celia (Herskovitz) Blum.
She is survived by her loving husband David C. Grupp to whom she was married on September 7th, 1963, son William (Merrilee) Grupp, daughter, Susan (Joseph Zegan) Grupp. She had one grandchild, Carter Grupp. She has three siblings, Ethel Rose Vesper, Thelma (Sanford) Cain, Lare (Marlene) Blum. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 25th at 11:00 AM at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, Illinois. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, Illinois. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Guardian Angel Basset Rescue or Journey of Hope United Methodist Church of Elgin, Illinois.

Im sorry to hear of Marlenes passing. She was my psychologist nurse practitioner at the Neuropsychiatric Institute at the U of I in Chicago in the 1980s. She helped me greatly.
