Michael Fitzgerald Hayes, age 55, died peacefully in his home in Lombard, IL on December 10th, 2020 from complications from Covid-19. He was born October 29, 1965 in Chicago, IL. Mike met his friend and love, Lynn (Gregg) Hayes, in 2000 and they married on January 15th, 2010. Mike was a 1983 graduate of Glenbard West High School and a 1987 graduate of Illinois State University. Mike was Country in the Chicago suburbs. With his flannels and Carhartt gear, country music blasting sing-alongs, fire pit burning, backyard fishing, atv riding, and fireworks shooting, Mike was his own bigger than life character and everyone loved him for it. Mike was the life of every party and the party of everyone's lives. He was the funniest guy in every room while having a heart bigger than any room could hold, making everyone he touched laugh while feeling truly loved at the same time. He positively impacted every individual with whom he had contact; from his family and closest friends to his classmates in high school and college to his co-workers at every job he held to casual acquaintances and friendships he made throughout his life's journey. Every person he met was happier for having known Mike. He sincerely believed everyone was his best friend and everyone sincerely believed he was theirs. Mike was the most genuine and loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews as well as to the children of some of his dearest friends. Mike is survived by his wife, Lynn; loving father, Ron Hayes. He is also survived by his sister, Tracey and brothers, Dennis, Kevin, and Sean, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins - and his two pups, Waylon and Merle. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Fitzgerald Hayes. There will be no immediate services, but a spring celebration will be held at a later date to be announced.
