PATRICIA "PAT" KOPROWSKI

ELMHURST - Patricia "Pat" Koprowski, 76, passed away on March 15, 2018 surrounded by her family. Pat is preceded in death by her mother Marion, father Albert, sister Jessie Merkel and life partner Robert Moore. She is survived by her sister Joan (George) Oshinski and brother Thomas Caley, daughters, Cheryl Colon and Caryl (Robert) Lumpp; son John (Danielle) Koprowski; grandchildren Nicole Caley and Jack Koprowski; and many nieces and nephews. She was also a special "grandma" and "mother" to so many others. Pat was born in Chicago and later became a longtime member of the community after moving to Elmhurst at the age of 9. She attended York Community High School and she remained in Elmhurst to raise her family. She was also an employee Jewel Osco in various capacities for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed picking up stray pets and "extra" kids, winning at Scrabble, working jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her family. Her wonderful sense of humor will live on in the hearts and memories of those lives she touched. Visitation will be held at Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N.
