BARRINGTON - Patricia C. Menges, 90, of Barrington for 53 years, passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2017. She was born on July 10, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Helen (nee Carboy) Condon. Patricia was a 1945 graduate of Bernards High School in Basking Ridge, NJ. Patricia was united in marriage to Louis Menges Jr. on February 18, 1950 in Basking Ridge, NJ. They celebrated 59 years of marriage until his death in 2009. Pat and Lou lived in Turkey and Bolivia early in their marriage and many cities in the United States before settling in Barrington in 1964. She loved being a homemaker and raising her family. Patricia will be deeply missed by her five children, Lynne (Jack) Carpenter of Irving, Texas, Louis Menges III of Seattle, Wash., James (Patricia) Menges of Inverness, Matthew (Janis) Menges of Barrington and Glenn Menges of Central America; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph, Donald and Arthur (Gail) Condon; brother-in-law, Jerry Fox and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brothers, Jerry, Tom and Frank Condon, and her sister, Dolores Fox. Visitation will be held at 4 PM until 8 PM, Thursday, October 26, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Funeral Service will be Friday, October 27 at 10 AM at Village Church of Barrington, 1600 E. Main St., Barrington, where her family will be receiving friends from 9 AM until the time of the service.
