RALPH E. SCHNAITMANN

1944 - 2021

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, Ralph E. Schnaitmann, loving husband and father of two children, passed away peacefully at age 76. Ralph was born on August 19, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri, to William and Alice (Germaine) Schnaitmann. He worked as a commercial carpenter for 43 years. On May 28, 1966, he married Connie Johnson in Skokie, IL. They raised a son, Kevin, and a daughter, Christine. Ralph was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed showing his 1957 Chevy and 1936 Ford Coupe at car shows. He earned many trophies for those cars. He used his carpentry skills to do many home renovations and help friends with their projects. Ralph was preceded in death by his father, William; his mother, Alice; and his brother, William. He is survived by his wife, Connie; his two children, Kevin (Camilla) Schnaitmann and Christine (Jeff) Campbell; his five grandchildren, Bryson Schnaitmann, Elizabeth Schnaitmann, Benjamin Campbell, Charles Campbell and Jack Campbell; his sister-in-law, Anne Schnaitmann; sister-in-law, Karen Smith and brother-in-law, Tom Smith; nephews and niece. He was fortunate to have many dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
