Richard D. "Dick" Hubbard

Richard D. "Dick" Hubbard formerly of Batavia Memorial services for Richard D. "Dick" Hubbard, 52, of Woodridge, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Born Sept. 28, 1953, in Geneva, he passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at his residence. Dick was a member of the Batavia graduating class of 1971. He graduated from Wartburg College with a degree in economics. Dick then joined the Marine Corps, where he served 10 years as a Captain flying A-6 Intruders. He was currently a Captain with American Airlines flying 737's. Dick enjoyed fishing, golfing and most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Patricia, Sarah Kate and Allison Hubbard; his mother, Mary Ann Hubbard of Batavia; three brothers and one sister, Tom (Carol) Hubbard of Racine, Wis., Robert (Kathryn) Hubbard, Douglas (Jean) Hubbard and Leslie Kalnes, all of Batavia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul; and his mother, Ruth Nelson. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice. For information, 630-879-7900.
