Richard A. Krefting, 64, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 19, 1952 in Chicago to Ralph and Catherine (nee Valkan) Krefting and lived most of his life in Elmhurst. He loved to ride his Harley, play golf and live life to the fullest. Most of all he loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a stranger to no one and was the life of the party, he will be missed by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loving children, Richard Vincent and Ericka Ann Krefting; grandchildren, Hope Riley and Richard James; siblings, Ralph (Paula) Krefting, Bette (Larry) Krefting Davis, and William Krefting; and by many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Jack. Memorial visitation will be Monday, July 31 from 2 PM until the Celebration of Richard's life at 5 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington, IL 60010. Interment will be private.
