Robert Clemens Fudala The visitation for Robert Clemens Fudala, 74, will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12 noon Thursday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights. Born April 22, 1932, in Chicago, the son of the late Clemens and Irene Fudala, he passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines. Robert was a cherished husband, father and friend whose devotion, love, compassion, patience and fairness knew no bounds. His warm smile and kind heart will leave lasting memories with those whose lives he touched. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed annual fishing trips to Minnesota with friends and family and was an avid football fan. He had been a member of the Schurz High School City Champions Football Team of 1949-1950. Bob was married to his high school sweetheart, Patricia (nee Gudmundson) Fudala for 55 years. He attended Wright Junior College and Texas Tech University before beginning his career with the Illinois State Police in 1957 that lasted 25 years, until his retirement from the force in 1982. Robert is survived by his two sons, Robert L. Fudala and Kenneth M. (Jeannie) Fudala; his daughter, Denise (Imad) Ghantous; his four grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Lordots, Adam Fudala, Yasmina Ghantous and Olivia Ghantous; his great-granddaughter, Maria P. Lordots; and his brother, Dennis (Joan) Fudala. He was preceded in death by is beloved wife, Patricia; and his two brothers, Gerald and Edward.
