ROBERT J. HAJICEK Jr.

Robert J. Hajicek Jr. of Hoffman Estates Visitation for Robert J. Hajicek Jr., 51, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, and from 9 a.m. until the Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday. at Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Born June 15, 1958, in Berwyn, Ill., he died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010. Robert worked for Jewel for 21 years and KeHe Foods for 15 years. He was a member of the Holy Family Knights of Columbus and was an avid skier and loved woodworking. He was the beloved husband of Dawn; loving father of Robert J. Hajicek III and Jennifer Hajicek; devoted son of Mary and the late Robert J. Hajicek Sr. and son-in-law of Josephine McLane; dear brother of Susan Connelly and Marialice Logan and brother-in-law of June (Timothy) Daniels, Cynthia (Michael) Calhoun and Jill Palmer; and fond uncle and cousin of many. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in memory of Robert Hajicek to support the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute at Northwestern University.
