Robert Stanley Motyka Robert Stanley Motyka, April 26, 1942 - Aug. 27, 2008, passed away at the age of 66 after a courageous fight against serious illnesses. Bob, as he was known by friends and family, son of the late Stanley and Anne Motyka, is survived by his two children, daughter, Kristin Motyka (Tom Hinton) and son, Steven Motyka; his brother, James Motyka; two grandchildren, Jonah Hampton Motyka and Piper Hampton Motyka; his nephew, Matthew Motyka; and niece, Rachel Motyka. He was a loving father, caring brother and devoted grandfather. Born in Chicago, Bob Motyka worked for most of his career at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) in Des Plaines, and recently retired after more than 25 years of exemplary service as a mold maker/manager. After his retirement, Bob enjoyed movies, billiards and social activities with his many friends at The Heritage, his residence of the past year. He enjoyed outdoor sports, including golf and tennis, and spent many a weekend playing catch with his son and daughter in front of their house in Rolling Meadows, where he and his wife, Rose, raised their children. The family also liked to go fishing together. Visitation will be from 9:15 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at 10 a.m Tuesday, Sept. 2, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 794 Pearson St., Des Plaines. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church. Arrangements were made by G. L.
