HiPeggy
I (ketchup kid)was sorry to hear of Rogers passing. Barry called and told me the other day and I knew when he called it wouldn't be good news- it wasn't.
Mind if think back to the good ole days. Elmer, Eunice and family were my favorites. Why wouldn't they be. They were quirky, funny and non-conforming. I liked that. How about the time mom and I visited kinda unexpectedly and we're greeted by a crocodile in a bathtub in the driveway. and Yeh both Janice and Roger took after their parents. I spent a week with them one summer (like early teens) and remember watching a Louis Pasteur movie a 3 AM on a old manual black and white tv. All laying on floor and couches, squinty at tv and eating Eunice snacks. Roger took me to one of his slow pitch games in a green and green 52? chevy just like my moms 49.( Funny how they went from that to big buicks huh.) He kept shifting the tranny without a clutch which totally baffled me as ours was a stick and we had to use clutch to shift. He just kept smiling. (turkey, I didn't know about automatics). Eunice took me on a tour of all the gangster houses in the area and I mean the Capone types it was awesome. What about Elmer and his lima beans fetish. That's all my mom would talk when making dinner for them. Like all relatives we didn't see everyone a lot but when we did it was usually memorable. I also remember finding your house one day (Maybe Eunice was along for guidance ?Ha Ha) anyway we had a good visit and enjoyed the Trivia game we played for a few hours.
Seems like the only news we get now days is sad but there were good ones so let's remember those, ok!
We're all well out here. Jean and I are enjoying our one and only grand daughter Sonora who is 6.
Best wishes to you and you family and take care.
Dave
