RUTH ANN PRICE

1935 - 2022

ELGIN - Ruth Ann Price (Brotzman), 86, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2022, in Phoenix, AZ. She was born on June 12, 1935, as Patricia Annette Bradley, and adopted in 1941 by John and Corleta Brotzman. Her name was changed to Ruth Ann Brotzman and her birthday was changed to December 12, 1935. Ruth graduated from Elgin High School in 1953, Northern Illinois University in 1957, and was a primary grade teacher for over a decade at Highland Elementary School. Ruth married Robert Price on June 13, 1970. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Elgin and an avid volunteer at Judson University. Ruth is survived by her dear brother, Paul (Sandy) Brotzman; proud children, Michael (Lynda) and Kathryn (Matthew) VanCleave; and loving grandchildren, Lilian, Amryn, and Ezra VanCleave. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Elgin on Friday, April 29th, at 11am (with visitation beginning at 10 am). In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Judson University Endowed Scholarship Fund. Go Cubbies!
