Mr. and Mrs Watts, we can never find the adequate words to lessen the pain you are feeling. I can only imagine the sense of loss you must feel for so bright and promising a life lost. I too have sons serving and lived everyday in fear and dread while they were deployed. I hope you will take some solice from the gratitude of those who know the meaning of Sam's service and sacrifice. We must always remember and honor his sacrifce for us. Michael E. I did not know Sam very well but by just knowing Sam through a few classes at Wheaton North, it was evident what a kind and strong person he was. I know the students from the class of 2010 are saddened by this news and are keeping your family in their thoughts and prayers. I hope that God will bring peace to your hearts during this difficult time.

God Bless.

As my children and I were returning home from Wheaton we noticed the beautiful array of flags and people standing at attention and thought what a magnificent scene it was despite the grief that people were experiencing indoors. I had to look up this funeral home to see, and I found myself heartbroken for your loss. May you find comfort in the outpouring of love we saw and know strangers are praying for all of you to find healing in Christ.

My deepest sympathy for you all. I "picked" Sam out to honor on Memorial Day on my facebook page. Our family is a military family and are participating in "Faces of the Fallen". http://apps.washingtonpost.com/national/fallen/

Sam's picture caught my attention-- it was the maroon beret. (My husband served in the 4/325 Infantry/ 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg over 20 years ago.) I know that beret.

Both of my sons will be active duty starting this summer. (EOD and Inf.) My heartache and sympathy comes from being an Army wife and mother. I know the sacrifice comes from the family as well as the soldier.

When I read about Sam on the site,I then realized that he died recently and that you haven't even had the funeral for him. As you are all in the midst of fresh and heavy grief, please know that I am praying for you. I am so sorry for your loss. Your son has become my "adopted" hero. I will not forget his sacrifice and will continue to honor him.

Know that their are thousands of people out here in America that are so very thankful for Sam's great sacrifice.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.

May the peace of the Comforter-the Holy Spirit-be with you.

With love and sympathy, Jill Damec

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Samuel will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

I Salute You.
