Sheri was one of the great gals – funny and fun, smart, dedicated, wry, knowing, beloved by her team, respected and liked by her colleagues. She should have lived at least another fifty years in peace and joy, surrounded by all her loved ones.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Fondly, from a former co-worker,

To the Friedman, DeRe, and Doukas families, and to Eric Dean,

Please accept my most sincere condolences for this most senseless and horrible loss of life. Mere words cannot express the grief I feel for you all.

While we are Jew and Gentile, we all worship the same God. None of us can know of His plans for Sheri nor Rachel. May you find peace and hope in the promise of Jesus that He has prepared "a place for you... that you also may be where I am." (John 14:3)

Sheri and Rachel are at peace now with God, without anxiousness for anything, in the presence of the Almighty God.

Emilie Lindblad Sheedy

While Sheri has touched the lives of many people, I will always remember how she touched mine. I was a recent graduate from college and she gave me the opportunity to work with her in the HR department of Andersen. She was so kind and such a pleasure to work for and I will always know that I am where I am today because of her.

To the family and friends of Sheri and Rachel, I want to express my deepest sympathies and regret for you loss. Outside of having known her from work, we would periodically see and greet each other as we dropped off our children at the same daycare, or see each other getting off the train. Both of my daughters knew Rachel. Both have express sadness and disbelief that they will not see Rachel anymore. On behalf of my family, our prayers go out to Sheri, Rachel, her family and friends, in the hope that the memories we will cling to will give us comfort in the days to come. God Bless.

Dear Family,

I had the pleasure of knowing Sheri through our girls, I always enjoyed talking with her about the girls and she was a very devoted mother and I could tell how much she loved Rachel. I will miss them both. God bless all of you as you get through this difficult time. I hope all the kind words will help you.

Diane Laudati

July 11, 2002

I was fortunate enough to meet with Sheri Monday at work. She had six pictures of Rachel up around her office. We talked about how beautiful Rachel was and Sheri commented how she is such "a ham" and so fun to be with. They had a wonderful 4th of July weekend together. Sheri's eyes shone of love toward her daughter, and she was so happy of the time they spent together over the July 4th week. I have know Sheri at Andersen for 13 years, but Monday was the first time I ever sat down to meet with her and talked with her. Maybe the message was for me to communicate what a wonderful caring mother Sheri was, and what a wonderful happy time she had on her vacation.

God bless Sheri and Rachel's family. Know that they are in peace and comfort with God in Heaven.

May God's peace be with you during this most difficult time. I knew your daughter, Sheri, from Arthur Andersen, when she hired me in 1988. We worked together later in the Human Resources Department when she was a recruiter. She was a wonderful person; despite the work load, she was always upbeat, positive, happy. Sheri used to encourage us in our work even when things got tough. I was glad to hear that she had been appointed as head of Human Resources; she would have brought a very compassionate touch to that role.
