STACY BASDECKIS

SCHAUMBURG - Stacy Basdeckis, 54, was born July 26, 1969, in Evanston, Illinois to Nicolaos and Lynne (nee Paskalides) Basdekis. She passed away on November 18, 2023, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, caring daughter, sister, and aunt to her family. Stacy was a remarkable woman whose strength and unwavering faith will serve as an inspiration to all who knew her. Throughout her 30-year battle with various health challenges, she faced each day with courage and determination, never allowing her spirit to falter. Before her illness, Stacy worked as an accounts receivable bookkeeper at Sun Chemical. Outside of her work, Stacy cherished her role as wife and mother. She found great joy and fulfillment in raising her two sons, Nicolaos and Anthony, nurturing them with love and guiding them to become remarkable individuals. Her family held a special place in her heart, and she always put their needs above her own. Stacy's memory will forever be treasured by her devoted husband, Robert Di Natale, her adoring sons, Nicolaos and Anthony Green, and her loving mother, Lynne Basdekis; her stepson Anthony (Natania) Di Natale; her siblings Peter (Amy) Basdeckis, Diana (Pete) Bone, and Chris Basdeckis; her niece Emma (Kyle) and nephew James. Their lives have been forever enriched by her presence and the everlasting impact she made on each of them. Visitation at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 3:00 pm. until the time of a Celebration of Stacy's Life at 7:30 pm. Visitation and final viewing on Friday, November 24, 2023, at the funeral home starting at 9:00 am followed by a procession at 10:00 am from the funeral home to Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove for graveside committal at 11:00 am.
