Thomas Huene Obituary
Thomas F. Huene, of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, at the age of 87, with family at his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Agnes Huene; and sister, Margaret Holm Anderson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marion (nee Georgen); their four children, Mary (Gary), Thomas (Christine), Michael (Phyllis) and Ann (Michael); and his sister, Helen Finegan.
Tom was an author, avid reader, and Chicago sports fan, particularly of the Bulls, Bears and White Sox. His biggest passion was his family, especially his twelve grandchildren, Kathryn, Elizabeth (Kevin), Matthew, Jason, Christopher, Michael, Jeremy, Nicholas, Peyton, Ethan, Grace, and Grant; and his great-grandson, Carson.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, IL, 60070, on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11 AM. A visitation will be held at the church at 10 AM preceding the Mass. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic School.
