Dear Lee and Family,
I'm sorry I couldn't attend the memorial service for Tom. My health is not the best and the cold weather was a deterrent. I remember Tom as a person who never ran out of energy. He was a great leader. It gave me great pleasure to work for and with him at Argonne.

Our deepest Sympathy to you Lee. It was our great pleasure to know Tom and we enjoyed so many dinners, interesting and varied conversations, golf games, beach walks and good times with you both. We were so happy that you found each other and that you had six wonderful years of caring devotion to each other. Our prayers were that those years could have been quadrupled but it was not to be. We'll cherish our memories of a wonderful guy who was a good friend and always fun to be with. With Love and much affection, Carol and Jon
