VALENTINA SIPINSKI Obituary

Valentina Sipinski of Elgin since 1964 Prayers for Valentina Sipinski, 76, will be said Monday, at 9:30 a.m. at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St. (Route 31), Elgin, proceeding to St. Joseph Catholic Church, for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Born Sept. 3, 1934, in Russia, the daughter of Wasily and Antonina Sharikow, she passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Sherman Hospital. Valentina was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons, Gene, John (Paula) and Joseph W. (Lisa) Sipinski, all of Elgin; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Nicole and Stephanie; and two stepgrandchildren, Shauna and Taylor Johnston. Gene, John & Joseph....We lived next to your parents on Elma from 1982 - 1989. They were very loving and caring people. They both were always so nice to us. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
